April News from the Farm

April Update From The Farm: We have been seeding, seeding away. Three greenhouses are filled up, and we are working on filling the fourth this week. We will continue filling these greenhouses throughout the season! The fourth greenhouse is the unheated greenhouse where we will move the larger plants (such as the cabbage, seen below) to allow space in the heated greenhouse to seed more crops. Moving the larger plants will also allow them to be hardened off before being planted in the fields. There will be plenty of moving around to do these next few weeks. Today Pete Jr. started working up soil to prepare for the first plants to be transplanted into the field. This will take place in just a few short weeks.

We have our Spring Plant Sale and Open House coming up on Saturday, May 11th from 1-3: 30 pm located right here on the farm. 145 Garcia Lane, Leeds NY 12451 Come check out the farm, meet your farmer and (weather permitting) tour the fields with a farm walk lead by Pete Jr. We will have plenty of vegetable transplants for sale along with all our local marketplace items. We hope you can make the trip.
