Meet the Farmer

May is here, but the April showers want to stay!  We have been working daily to get plants in the field in between the days of rain.  When it is raining we are in the greenhouses seeding more plants for this season.  This past Wednesday we transplanted 18000 heads of lettuce, frisee and escarole, 10,000 beet plants, 10,000 swiss chard, 5,000 spinach, and 2,000 leeks.  (just in time before this next batch of rain came in)  This weekend looks to be beautiful, and the plants will really take off!

Pete Jr. & I will be hosting an online Meet Your Farmer event on Monday, May 11 from 6-7 pm.  We will be discussing the happenings on the farm as well as information about the CSA if you are new or thinking about becoming a member.  Below is the zoom link you will want to keep for the day of the event. Click HERE to register for the event! Please share this invite with friends, family, or anyone you might think would be interested.  We hope you can attend.

Don’t forget!  We are one month away from the start date so don’t miss your chance to enjoy this season’s harvest!  To order login to your member account.  If you have already ordered thank you!  We look forward to the start of the deliveries and growing fresh healthy produce to feed you, your family, and the community.  Stay Well!

Sincerely,
Candice for Everyone at Stoneledge Farm
