Spring has sprung

To Current and Future CSA Members,

Spring Has Finally Sprung and it sure feels that way. The temperatures are slowly climbing and it has been pretty rainy these past few days. Occasionally the sun will peek out once in an awhile but, not too often. That’s spring right!?

Here on the farm, we continue seeding and tending to all the delicate plants in the greenhouse. This week we worked on seeding bok choy, and herbs along with another seeding of lettuce. Every other week we are seeding another crop of lettuce in the greenhouse to make sure we have lettuce right up until the summer months. Lettuce will not grow in the heat of the summer so we like to take advantage of the lettuce growing season in early spring. In the field, Pete jr has worked up some soil in preparation for the spring crop plantings. (If you follow us on Instagram and Facebook you will see plenty of farm work photos) Get ready for some fresh salads among some other great spring vegetables that will be coming your way!

In preparation for the start of the CSA, this is also the busiest time for our membership signups. We need your help in sharing the information about the CSA. We truly appreciate your help in spreading the word about the CSA and eating healthy.

We look forward to growing fresh healthy produce to feed you, your family, and community.
